
This design is specifically for dog bowls.
The materials needed for this design are:

Strokes translucent underglazes:
EZ010 French Brown
EZ012 Cobalt Black
EZ066 Morning Glory
Sable brush
Liner brush
Sgraffito tool
Sponge Brush
Soft Pencil
Duncan GL612 Diamond Clear Glaze
1. Sand and clean the greenware. Using a cleanup tool to remove any large amounts of clay left on the greenware, then sand smooth with the sponge. Finally wipe down the greenware with a damp sponge.
2. Draw or trace the outline of the dog onto the greenware. Draw in your dog's name, then Draw or trace another dog. In the remaining space around the bowl you can add some more writing, i.e. Paws Off or a picture of a bone or some paw prints.
3. Paint the body of the dog with Morning Glory paint. Remember to use three coats to get a solid colour.
4. Paint the nose and the collar with French Brown.
5. Using the liner brush outline the dog and add the detail on the nose, eyes and collar.
6. Paint in your dog's name, and any other details on the bowl.
7. Use the sgraffito tool to get the whites of the eyes and the detail in the collar.
8. Sign your name on the back.
9. Bisque fire.
10. Glaze, fire again and enjoy!
