1. Draw the design on the platter.
2. Sgraffito all lines, ensuring that the lines are reasonably deep. Remembering to dampen down the greenware slightly so you don't get hairy edges.
3. Paint all sgraffito lines in Midnight Blue, then sand back the extra paint leaving the Midnight Blue in the lines.
4. Remove the dust from the greenware.
5. Paint the centre of the round flowers using Wineberry and Ivy Green as in the picture.
6. Paint the circle around the centre in Navajo Turquoise.
6. Paint the outside petals with Wineberry.
7. Paint the tulip flowers using Navajo Turquoise for the centre petal and Dutch Blue for the outside petals.
8. Paint the centre of the ellipses with Navajo Turquoise and the outside with Dutch Blue.
9. Use Ivy Green to paint the leaves and stems.
10. Finish off the design with Wineberry and Dutch Blue dots, Ivy Green leaves around the edge and Dutch Blue swirls.
11. Bisque fire.
12. Glaze using Duncan Ivory Satin and fire again.
