
This design is suited for plates, however the design can be adopted to other greenware.

1. Sand and clean the greenware. Use a cleanup tool to remove any large amounts of clay left on the greenware, then sand smooth with the sponge. Finally wipe down the greenware with a damp sponge.
2. Draw or trace the flower pattern on the plate in five or six places. Draw the design twice on the edge of the plate.
3. Draw in the leaves around the flowers.
4. Paint the centre of the flowers with Yellow Orange then paint the petals with Rose. Use the sgraffito tool to add in some details on the petals.
5. Coat the flowers with wax resist.
6. Paint the leaves with Ivy Green. Use the sgraffito tool to add in some details to the leaves while still damp.
7. Coat the leaves with wax resist.
8. Paint the background with Forget Me Not Blue using the 3/4 inch brush. Use the graffito tool to add in some details around the flowers and leaves.
9. Paint the rim around the border with Yellow Orange using the foam brush.
10. Sign your name on the bottom then Bisque fire.
11. Glaze using Duncan Diamond Clear Glaze and fire again.
